Leadership in project management is ranked as the top competency for a project management professional today*. The challenge our industry now faces is just how project leadership can be defined, assessed and measured in a meaningful way.
Today Arras People launched a pilot project with Goldsmiths College, London and Global Project Leaders Ltd to find out if The Project Leadership assessment can help move the profession forward in this area. The Project Leadership Questionnaire (PLQ) is based on twelve years academic and industry based research. The test covers seven aspects of project leadership and is positioned as the only test available that focuses on the most important competency in project management.
The PLQ is available exclusively Free of Charge for selected Arras People project management registrants during this pilot phase. In return registrants receive a comprehensive profile report which provides personalised and comparative data and some thoughts on how to develop each facet tested. The registrants will also be updated during the pilot process in order to keep them abreast of any developments and our findings.
The objective of the Project Leadership pilot test is to see if project leadership can be assessed and measured and help drive the project management profession forward. The Project Leadership Questionnaire will also enable registrants to find out more about their own strengths and weaknesses.
The findings from the pilot project will be available in due course. For more information on the seven aspects of project leadership please see the recent articles on the How to Manage a Camel blog
