The Association for Project Management (APM) adds another senior speaker to the Olympic learning legacy stream at the APM Conference, which is being held on Wednesday 27th June 2012.

\"CarolineCaroline Blackman, head of organisation development at the Olympic delivery partner CLM, will be joining Richard Wright from the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and Dr. Andrew Davies from Imperial College Business School in a conference stream dedicated to the story of the London 2012 Olympic programme.

Caroline has spoken during the successful learning legacy series of events that are running until the end of May. In front of a packed audience at the Charing Cross Hotel, she described how CLM focused on ‘behavioural rigour’ through the use of chartering to bring people together.

CLM is an acronym that may not be that familiar in the world of project or programme management, but the consisting parts certainly are as it is made up of a joint venture between CH2M HILL, Laing O’Rourke and Mace.

Caroline has over five years experience with CLM – appointed by the ODA to ensure that the right people, processes, teams and overall capability would be in place to deliver what was required. This involved managing the joint venture and bringing together multi-cultural teams to successfully deliver the ODA objectives. She has been instrumental in supporting the programme director in designing the organisation, managing change, aligning strategy and driving and achieving high performance. Caroline also possesses a broad business background with an HR specialism – particularly organisation and business development, HR operations and strategy.

As well as construction, Caroline has worked across banking, finance and the car industry. Over the last 25 years, she has been in strategy, marketing, business development, consultancy and organisation development roles. The last ten have been in the construction sector for Laing O’Rourke, with Caroline presently holding the role of director.

In addition to the speakers in the Olympic learning legacy stream Dr. Ed Hoffman, director of the NASA Academy, and Richard Noble, project director on the BLOODHOUND rocket and jet powered car, will be taking to the platform in the Art of the Possible themed programme.
